On the day of the opening we made a picnic with the local residents and the people who participated. The mayor of Lewisham came to open the event.

The stories depicted the varied relationships that people have to fabric. It displayed the depth of diversity of the local population (49 languages are being spoken around in the neighbourhood) in a very indirect way. Somebody said "this is the shirt my husband was wearing the day I met him" and someone else said they couldn't remember why it was their favourite fabric.
